Who We Did It For
DIY Refurb, an ambitious player in the competitive DIY and home improvement market, faced the daunting task of contending with well-established UK brands. With a smaller advertising budget and high competition in search engine results pages (SERPs), our challenge was not just to compete, but to excel in a market dominated by giants like Wickes.
What We Did
Despite these challenges, we achieved a significant 73.2% growth in revenue year on year for DIY Refurb. This success was bolstered by three back-to-back record-breaking months and substantial improvements in conversion rates.
How We Did It
Google Ads: We strategically utilised both standard shopping and the new Performance Max campaigns to target and drive sales effectively. Focusing our budget on high-margin, high-demand products, we outplaced major competitors in shopping results, optimising for high click through and conversion to steal market share where it would have the biggest impact on the bottom line of the business.
SEO Enhancements: Alongside our PPC efforts, we enhanced the SEO strategy by seeding press articles and improving on-page titles, directly aiming to improve organic rankings and visibility. The replatforming to Shopify also played a crucial role, as it dramatically improved site speed and responsiveness, further boosting our SERP positions and user experience.
